Next, we headed to check the water metre<\/strong>. Now, even though no one was using water, the metre was still ticking away. That\u2019s always a tell-tale sign that something\u2019s not right. We asked the client if we could close off the water tank to see if that would stop the metre from moving. Once we shut off the inlet to the tank, the metre slowed down\u2014but didn\u2019t come to a complete stop. Hmm, there was definitely more to this story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step Three: The Solution \u2013 Rerouting the Pipes<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

After a bit more investigating, we realised that the problem was with the water line running from the water metre to the water tank<\/strong>. It was hidden behind the walls and tiles, which made accessing it tricky. Our suggestion? Reroute the water line along the outside of the wall, instead of trying to fix it behind the tiles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The plumbing team from Leak Detection Malta<\/strong> swung into action, rerouting the water line exactly as planned. No more hidden pipe drama!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step Four: Follow-up Inspection Needed<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

We sorted out the water line, but we recommended that a second inspection<\/strong> be carried out to check that cold spot in the kitchen ceiling. It\u2019s always better to be safe than sorry when it comes to leaks\u2014you never know when they might decide to reappear!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
