We tackled them methodically, logging evidence and marking repair areas for the in-house team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Issue 1: Corridor leak<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Thermal imaging highlighted a <strong>localised anomaly outside a guest room<\/strong>. We marked it for targeted repairs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Issue 2: Pool bar area<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Near the <strong>pool bar<\/strong>, thermal + knowledge of the build-up suggested <strong>failed grout<\/strong> was allowing water to <strong>migrate into the garages below<\/strong>. This is a classic terrace\/pool syndrome: water finds the path of least resistance through missing grout and compromised membranes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Issue 3: Garage deluge near the circular toilets<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Using <strong>acoustic<\/strong> and <strong>thermal<\/strong> methods, we uncovered <strong>two culprits<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A <strong>leak inside the men\u2019s toilet shaft<\/strong>\u2014the maintenance team repaired it.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A <strong>second leak at an external planter<\/strong>\u2014scheduled for excavation.<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Second call-out: when the hole is dry but the leak persists<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>After excavation, the planter soil was <strong>water-logged<\/strong> but no active pipe was found. Back to the tools: more thermal and acoustic testing traced the issue to the <strong>main line feeding the men\u2019s toilets from the women\u2019s toilets<\/strong>. We <strong>isolated that main line<\/strong>, and the client monitored the garage\u2014expecting the seepage to <strong>stop completely<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Lessons for venues with high footfall<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Multiple sources are common.<\/strong> Treat each symptom as a separate mini-investigation.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Grout &amp; detailing matter.<\/strong> Around pools and terraces, grout and membranes are frontline defenses.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Trust the instruments.<\/strong> Thermal + acoustic correlation catches what a visual check can\u2019t.<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Managing a resort or large venue?
