The neighbour on the other side of that wall was also reporting water ingress that had worsened over recent weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What we saw<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We began with a visual sweep to understand finishes, fall, and where water might be creeping. Then we moved straight to <strong>thermal imaging<\/strong>, cubicle by cubicle, to see what the eye can\u2019t.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The thermal clue<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In the first cubicle, the wall around the <strong>shower mixer<\/strong> lit up with a <strong>bright thermal signature<\/strong>\u2014a classic sign of hot water bleeding where it shouldn\u2019t. The other cubicles were useful controls: they showed standard, balanced pipe runs without anomalies. Behind the target wall\u2014where renovation works were underway\u2014we found a <strong>distinct cold patch<\/strong> from evaporative cooling where water had been soaking the fabric.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Diagnosis<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>A <strong>hot-side leak<\/strong> at or near the mixer body was wetting the wall, feeding mould and migrating through to the neighbouring space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Recommendations<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open the wall <strong>precisely at the mixer<\/strong> location (we provided marked photos).<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Replace\/repair mixer and joints, pressure-test, then reinstate with <strong>mould-resistant<\/strong> board\/finishes.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Improve <strong>cubicle ventilation<\/strong> to keep relative humidity down during peak hours.<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Non-invasive first, surgical opening second\u2014book our [<a href=\"https:\/\/leakdetectionmalta.com\/?page_id=232\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"232\">Thermal Imaging<\/a>] team for targeted fixes.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mrie\u0127el Gym: The call A gym in Mrie\u0127el asked us to investigate heavy mould growth inside a specific shower cubicle.
