Walkthrough of Ħamrun Health Centre
The Health Centre team showed us a moulding stain behind a sink. Internally, the unit is divided with gypsum partitions around a central brick/service wall that carries services.
Our findings
- Thermal scanning mapped damp along that central wall, suggesting moisture travelling from upper levels.
- Externally, the clinic’s outer face lacked plastering/waterproofing—a big red flag.
- In the kitchenette, a corner read wet; staff also recalled toilet flooding with tiles starting to debond.
Recommendation
Remediate the external envelope first (plastering & waterproofing), then address internal finishes once the envelope is sound.
