Sliema Renovation Surprise: The call
During a renovation in Sliema, the architect brought us in after discovering two severely wet wall areas in the garage. Meanwhile, the roof pump wouldn’t stop kicking in—a smoking gun.
How we investigated
A thermal scan mapped the wet zones. Then we went to the basement manifold where the shut-valves live. Working with the architect, we isolated lines one by one and watched the pump behaviour.
Breakthrough
When we shut the line feeding the garden, the pump stopped cycling. The garden sits above the wet walls—we’d found the culprit.
Fix & follow-up
The plumbing contractor was called to repair the garden supply. We left the team with moisture-map photos and a retest plan to confirm dry-down before closing up.
