We were called to a property in Naxxar after the client noticed water manifestation on the wall behind an ensuite shower area.
Because the symptom was close to a wet room, the team needed to check whether the issue was connected to the shower, pipework or another hidden route.
What the inspection checked
Thermal imaging was used to understand the moisture pattern around the affected wall. Acoustic checks were then used to listen for signs of a hidden pipe issue where site conditions allowed.
The inspection narrowed the concern to the shower area, giving the client a more focused repair path.
Why this matters
Shower leaks are often blamed on silicone, but that is not always the full problem. Water can escape from trays, drains, pipework, grout, waterproofing layers or nearby fittings.
